Chicken breasts are marinated in a sweet, smoky, and sticky barbecue sauce and then pan-fried until they caramelize. The chicken turns out to be juicy and makes a perfect weeknight dinner menu.

Cooking Chicken in Barbecue Sauce
Serves: 2 Persons
Prep. Time: 10 Mins.
Marination Time: 30 Mins.
Cooking Time: 12 Mins.
Ingredients:
- Chicken breast – 01 Nos (Approx. 350 gms)
- Barbecue Sauce – 2 tbsp
- Chilli Sauce – 1 tbsp
- Soy Sauce – 1 tsp
- Black Pepper powder – 1/2 tsp
- Lemon Rind – 1/2 tsp (optional, but adds flavour)
- Salt – 1/2 tsp
- Vegetable Oil – 2 tbsp
Method
Step 1: Wash the chicken breasts and pat dry.
Step 2: Add all the ingredients for the marinade – salt, barbecue sauce, chilli sauce, soy sauce, black pepper powder, and lemon rind. Set aside to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Step 3: Next add the oil to a frying pan or skillet and allow to heat well. Then add the chicken breast and fry for 5 to 6 minutes on a low to medium flame until it changes colour.
Step 4: Flip over and cook on low heat till the chicken breasts are almost done. Baste the chicken breast with leftover marinade once or twice. Flip once again if needed and baste again.
Step 5: Remove from the pan and serve with grilled veggies or mashed potatoes.
