In a heavy-bottomed cooking pot, add the bone-in chicken, sliced onions, ginger, garlic and green chillies.
Add the potatoes and chopped tomatoes along with the East Indian Bottle Masala, Kashmiri red chilli powder, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and pepper.
Add salt to taste and also pour in the cooking oil.
Give everything a good mix so that the chicken, onions and tomatoes are well coated with the spices and oil.
Place the pot on the stove and cook over medium heat. Cover and allow the chicken to cook, stirring occasionally.
Continue cooking until the chicken and potatoes are completely cooked and tender. This should take approximately 20 to 25 minutes on low to medium heat.
If you prefer a thinner gravy, add a little hot water and simmer for a few more minutes.
Taste and adjust the salt if required. Finally garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
