A simple recipe of Green Coconut Chutney that you can use for Sandwiches or snack. Easy to prepare with few ingredients that are locally available, this green chutney is a combination of sweet, spicy and tangy taste.

Equipment

  • Blender or Mixer grinder

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Grated coconut
  • 1 cup Fresh coriander leaves
  • 6 Green Chillies adjust to suit your spice level
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 2 Garlic flakes
  • 1 small ball of tamarind
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • ½ tsp Salt

How to make green coconut chutney

  • Put all the ingredients of the chutney into a blender jar.
  • Add 2 tbsp water and grind into a coarse paste
  • Store in an air-tight container in the refrigerator or use right away.

Notes

  1.  Adjust chillies and sugar to suit your taste.
  2. Use lemon juice instead of tamarind
  3. Add only 2 or 3 tbsp water to make the green chutney paste.
  4. Stays fresh in the refrigerator for a week
