Mawa Cupcake Recipe Ingredients
Yields: 10 Cupcakes
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Baking Time: 20 to 25 minutes
- All-purpose flour – 1 Cup or 120 grams
- Baking Powder – 1 teaspoon
- Baking Soda – 1/4 teaspoon
- Eggs – 2 whole
- Mawa – 50 to 75 grams
- Caster Sugar – 6 tablespoons or 85 grams
- Oil – 5 tablespoons
- Yogurt – 1/4 cup
- Vanilla Essence – 1 teaspoon
- Salt – 1/2 teaspoon
Mawa Cupcake Recipe (step-by-step)
STEP I. Sift all-purpose flour, baking powder, and baking soda a couple of times, at least 3 times. Set aside.
STEP II. In a mixing bowl, add eggs and sugar and beat till light and fluffy. You can either use the hand whisk or an electric beater for this. Next, add in the oil and continue to beat until well combined. Use unflavored and colourless vegetable oil in this cupcake recipe. Also, add the yogurt and mix well in the batter.
STEP III. Now add in the sifted flour in 2 to 3 batches and combine with a spatula. Also, crumble the mawa and also add salt and add to the batter. Do not overmix the cupcake batter.
STEP III. Line a muffin tray with cupcake liners and pour in the batter until 3/4 full. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 170 deg C for 20 to 25 minutes or until a skewer inserted comes out clean. Cool the cupcakes completely before storing them in airtight containers.
