Mawa Cupcake Recipe | How to make cupcakes easily at home

Moist and fluffy mawa cupakes are a perfect tea time cake that you can easily make at home.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Cup All-purpose flour (120 grams)
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • ¼ tsp Baking Soda
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 50 to 75 grams Mawa - 50 to 75 grams
  • 6 tbsp Caster Sugar (85 grams)
  • 5 tbsp Oil (75 ml)
  • ¼ Cup Yogurt
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Essence - 1 teaspoon
  • ¼ tsp salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Sift all-purpose flour, baking powder, and baking soda a couple of times, at least 3 times. Set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, add eggs and sugar and beat till light and fluffy. You can either use the hand whisk or an electric beater for this. Next, add in the oil and continue to beat until well combined. Also, add the yogurt and mix well in the batter.
  • Now add in the sifted flour in 2 to 3 batches and combine with a spatula. Also, crumble the mawa and also add salt and add to the batter.
  • STEP III. Line a muffin tray with cupcake liners and pour in the batter until 3/4 full. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 170 deg C for 20 to 25 minutes or until a skewer inserted comes out clean.

Notes

  1. Use unflavored and colourless vegetable oil in this cupcake recipe.
  2. Do not overmix the cupcake batter.
  3. Cool the cupcakes completely before storing them in airtight containers.
  4. Use fresh yogurt.
  5. Baking time may differ depending on your oven.
