Beans Foogath – Recipe with French Beans
Making Foogath is the easiest recipe with French Beans. Notwithstanding this, you must consider the following tips for a perfect Beans Foogath.
- Select tender french beans for this recipe. These french beans are dark green in colour. The vegetable is rich in fiber and iron and must be included in your diet regularly.
- Snip the ends of the french beans and then cut them into smaller bits. I prefer to cut them diagonally not because these are pleasing to the eye but also to cook evenly.
- I also like to add a dash of sugar to the already sweet beans. Adding sugar to the beans while cooking helps in retaining its green colour. You could skip the sugar if you like, but trust me this gives the foogath a distinct taste.
- Finally, I prefer cooked vegetables, especially in Foogath, to have a little crunch to enjoy its sweetness and texture. I suggest do not overcook the beans Foogath but let it remain perfectly steamed.
