Beans Foogath is is simple yet delcious recipe with french beans that is so quick to cook.

- 250 grams French Beans cut diagonally or into small pieces
- 1 medium Onion sliced
- 2 - 3 Green Chillies, chopped
- ½ tsp Sugar (optional)
- ½ tbsp Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp Oil for cooking
Heat oil in a pan and saute the sliced onion and the chopped chillies.
When onion is translucent, add the french beans and water. Cover and cook for 5 to 6 minutes. Also add salt to taste.
Now open the vessel and add a little sugar (optional) and freshly grated coconut. Cover once again and let the vegetable cook for 2 more minutes.
Finally add pepper powder and switch off the flame.
Beans Foogath is ready to be served with rice or chapatis.
- Adding sugar is optional, but it gives a nice taste to the vegetable and also retains its colour.
- Cut french beans into small pieces or diagonally, as desired.
- Do not overcook the french beans.
