Tuna Sandwich with Mayo | How to Make Tuna Sandwich

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cans Tuna approx. 180 grams each
  • 5 tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard or any mustard sauce
  • 1 small Onion finely chopped
  • 4 slices Bread
  • 2 tbsp of sliced olives
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • A few drops of lemon juice
  • Lettuce Romaine or Iceberg

How to Make Tuna Sandwich

  • In a large mixing bowl add all the ingredients for the Tuna Sandwich. First, open the cans of tuna and drain out the brine. Add the tuna into the mixing bowl and with a fork break the tuna lumps, if any.
  • Next add the rest of the ingredients, mayonnaise, mustard, onion, olives, and lemon juice. Also, add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Spread a thin layer of mayo onto the bread slices. Place a lettuce leaf on the bread and then top it with a thick layer of the tuna mixture.
  • Now place the second piece of bread on top of the tuna salad. Cut the bread into triangles and serve.

Notes

  1. Store the remaining tuna mixture in the refrigerator for use later.
  2. Adjust seasoning to suit your taste
  3. If packing sandwiches for use later, then you may like to skip onions.
