  • 3 to 4 tbsp Oil for frying

For the marination

  • 4 Dry Red Chillies
  • 1 tsp Peppercorns
  • 1 tsp Coriander Seeds
  • 10 Curry Leaves
  • ¾ tsp Salt

Instructions

  • Marinate the Surmai slices with salt, turmeric and lemon juice and set aside for 10 minutes
  • Make a fine but thick paste of red chillies, peppercorns, coriander seeds, curry leaves and salt.
  • Apply this paste on the fish slices and allow to marinate for 20 to 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  • Now heat 3 to 4 tbsp oil in a Tawa and fry the fish on both the sides till done.
  • Remove onto a plate and serve hot.

Notes

  1.  Use red chillies as per your spice level.
  2.  I used vegetable oil for frying the fish on a Tawa.
  3. Use any firm fish of your choice, but I prefer to use Surmai or Rawas.
