Recipe for Prawn Curry - Prawn Lonvas

Easy recipe of prawn curry with vegetables and coconut.

Ingredients
  

  • 500 grams Prawns, washed and deveined
  • 3 - 4 Turnips or any vegetables of your choice cut into big pieces
  • 1 medium Onion sliced
  • 2 tbsps Bottle masala
  • 1 cup Fresh coconut ground to a fine paste or coconut milk
  • 1 small ball tamarind
  • 2 - 3 tbsp Oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • In a vessel add 2 - 3 tbsp oil and fry the onion.
  • Add bottle masala and vegetables and fry for a minute. Add water and let the vegetables cook.
  • Add the prawns and cook till prawns are done. Add salt to taste.
  • Add the coconut paste and tamarind juice.
  • Adjust the consistency of the gravy as required.
