Pan Fried Chicken Drumsticks - Recipe & Guide

These Pan Fried Chicken Drumsticks are quick and easy to prepare. Gets ready in minutes and they are so tender, juicy and flavourful.

Equipment

  • 1 Skillet or Fry pan

Ingredients
  

  • 6 Chicken Drumsticks, wash and pat dry
  • ¼ cup Yogurt/Sour Curds
  • 1 tbsp Red Chilli Powder
  • ½ tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
  • 1 tsp Pepper Powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam Masala powder
  • 1 tsp Salt or use as per taste
  • ¼ tsp Orange-red food colour (optional)
  • 3 - 4 tbsp Oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • Wash Drumsticks and pat dry with kitchen towels
  • In a bowl add all the ingredients for marination and mix well. Apply this marination all over the chicken drumsticks and allow to rest for 1 hour.
  • Heat a pan and add 2 to 3 tbsp oil and place the chicken drumsticks. After 5 minutes flip over and continue to fry for another 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Fry the chicken drumsticks all over until they turn golden brown. Remove on kitchen towels to drain out the excess oil.
  • Serve with onions and lemon or mint coriander chutney.
  • Enjoy with some grilled vegetables of a large bowl of salad for a perfect meal.

Notes

  1.  Marinate the chicken drumsticks for at least 30 minutes to an hour.  You could also leave it to marinate overnight in the refrigerator.
  2. Do not overcrowd the pan while frying and fry on a medium heat.
  3. Frying time will vary depending on the pan and the heat.
