For the Meatballs
- 500 grams Chicken, beef or mutton mince
- 1 medium Onion chopped
- 2 Green chillies chopped
- ½ cup Mint & coriander leaves
- 1 tbsp Masala paste *see recipe below
- 1 tsp Salt or to taste
FOR THE MEATBALL CURRY
Masala Paste Ingredients
- 10 - 12 Dried Red Chillies
- 1 tbsp Coriander seeds
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 tsp Sesame seeds
- 8 to 10 Garlic flakes
- 1 inch Ginger
- Whole spices Cinnamon 1-inch, cloves 3-4, cardamom 2-3, peppercorns -1/2
Curry Ingredients
- 1 medium Onion, chopped
- 1 Tomato, chopped
- ½ tsp Turmeric powder
- 300 ml Water for gravy
- Salt to taste
- 3 tbsp Oil for cooking
- 3 tbsp Vinegar or Lemon juice
Meat balls Curry Recipe
To make the curry, heat a kadai with 3 tbsp oil and saute the chopped onion till translucent.
Now add 1 tomato chopped and fry until the tomato softens.
Then add the blended masala paste and fry for 3 to 4 minutes till the oil oozes out.
Add approx 300 ml of water to make the curry and bring it to a boil. Then add in the meat balls. Now cover the vessel and let the meat balls cook for 8 to 10 minutes. .
Garnish the curry with coriander leaves and let it simmer for 2 minutes, preferably covered.
