Ingredients

  • 1 cup Kardi Fish cleaned
  • 2 medium Onions sliced
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 3 to 4 Green Chillies
  • ½ tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Pepper powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander Leaves for garnish
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil

Instructions

  • Clean the Kardi fish and then wash it well. Set aside in a colander and let the water drain completely.
  • Heat a frying pan and then add 2 tbsp vegetable oil into it. When the oil is hot enough add the green chillies, ginger, and sliced onions.
  • Fry the onions until they turn translucent and then add the Kardi or baby prawns. Add turmeric powder and salt and stir fry occasionally for 5 to 6 minutes or until almost done.
  • Next, add the vinegar and saute until all the moisture dries up. Now add the pepper powder and garnish with coriander leaves. Add some slit green chillies if you like the chilli fry to be a little spicier.
  • Serve with Rice or Jowar Rotis

Notes

  1.  Fry the onions until translucent and not brown.
  2. Adjust chillies to suit your taste
  3. You could also add red chilli powder and reduce the number of green chillies.
  4. Use lesser salt than you would normally do.
  5. You can add lime juice instead of vinegar.
