A classic moist and delicious Banana Walnut Loaf Cake Recipe flavoured with Vanilla and Cinnamon. A rich and healthy cake with 3 bananas, walnuts, butter and eggs that never fails to impress.

- 3 large Bananas, ripe
- 150 grams All-purpose flour/Maida
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- ¼ tsp Baking Soda
- 1 tsp Cinnamon powder
- 125 grams Butter (I used salted butter)
- 150 grams Sugar (granulated or demerara sugar is fine)
- 03 whole Eggs
- ½ tsp Vanilla Essence
- ½ cup Chopped Walnuts
- 2 to 3 tbsp Raisins (totally optional)
How to make Banana Cake
Cream the butter and sugar with an electric beater till light and fluffy.
Add in the eggs, which are at room temperature, one by one and continue to beat until all the three eggs are used up.
Add the 3 ripe mashed bananas and mix well. Also add vanilla essence
Then add the sifted flour mixture that has baking powder and baking soda and give it a mix.
Add the chopped walnuts and mix gently.
Pour the batter into a lined loaf tin and bake at 180°C for 40 to 45 minutes.
Allow the Banana Walnut Loaf Cake to cool and then slice it.
- Use ripe bananas for this cake recipe.
- Add a few raisins for added sweetness.
- Baking time will depend on your oven.
- You could use Chocolate chips instead of walnuts
